Tokyo AI Film Fest Jury

Michał Owerczuk was named as a jury member for the Tokyo AI Film Festival, Japan’s first international celebration of responsible AI use in cinema. Hosted by LocalHost Japan at Tokyo Node Hall, the festival brought together more than 300 independent filmmakers, studios, and storytellers from around the world to highlight a new wave of films made possible by artificial intelligence.

The festival highlights Michał Owerczuk as a film director, AI systems architect, and founder of Warsaw Glitch. According to the organizers, he combines filmmaking with AI to develop creative tools and production workflows designed to help storytellers embrace the next generation of cinema.

Owerczuk served on the festival’s jury panel alongside international film and animation leaders, including Gainax co-founder Inoue Hiroaki, former Pixar executive Stephan Bugaj, and Matriarch Studios founder Verena Puhm.
