Owerczuk on Silent Heroes

Michał Owerczuk and Antoni Królikowski joined host Piotr Kędzierski on the show “Onet Rano.” to talk about Polish veterans of the mission in Cambodia.

Owerczuk on Silent Heroes

During the conversation, Owerczuk highlighted the lack of public recognition for military personnel. “It is interesting that in our country, the Polish military and veterans are not remembered at all, unless someone dies. They are constantly providing aid in many countries. These are silent heroes worth talking about,” he commented (translated from Polish).

Owerczuk also discussed his documentary film project focused on the events of the Cambodia mission, revealing he had already been working on it for over a year. After being invited to a gathering where veterans met for the first time in 25 years, he initially thought about traveling to Cambodia to make a reportage, but decided to develop a full documentary because of the wealth of cinematic stories.
