Michał Owerczuk has been featured in the March 2026 edition of The Creators Magazine with his piece titled “Cinema Is Not Data.” The publication highlights creators working with generative tools, focusing on the human artist, memory, and emotion rather than just technological data.

In the essay, Owerczuk traces his career path from his early broadcast and documentary work through Cannes, alongside AI projects such as Broken Arrow and The Tape from the Van. Examining what authorship means when half of the production pipeline relies on inference, he notes that while AI democratizes access to making films, elements such as lived experience, memory, taste, and the patience to refine a scene remain impossible to prompt.

The March edition also spotlights artists Thierry Bezier, Kimberly Fish, Goran Osla, and Tora. Owerczuk noted that the published text is a condensed version of the essay and credited Alejandro Sanchez Aristeguieta for building a publication that prioritizes the people behind creative tools.
