Michał Owerczuk announced that his AI film Broken Arrow has been named an official selection at The Storyteller Universe in New York City.
Reflecting on the achievement, Owerczuk shared that the film originated as a deeply personal project: “This film began as a very personal exploration of memory, history, and myth, and seeing it find new audiences through platforms that value storytelling above all else is deeply rewarding.”
He added that festival recognition reinforces the core purpose of his work. “Every selection is a reminder of why we make films in the first place. To tell stories, to connect, and to let them travel far beyond where they were created,” he wrote, thanking NYC and the event for supporting new voices in cinema.
In his post, Owerczuk also highlighted Fairground, Machine Cinema, Massimo Benvegnú, and generative technologies used in the project, including ComfyUI, Vidu AI, ElevenLabs, Topaz Labs, and Google DeepMind.
