Michał Owerczuk, creating under the artist name OverJK, has released “Comfy Christmas,” a short holiday film built entirely inside a ComfyUI node-based workflow. The project utilized Wan 2.2 to generate frame-to-frame video directly within the pipeline.

Conceived as a visual poem for the ComfyUI community, the piece centers on “O Comfy Tree,” reimagining a classic carol through the lens of generative workflows: using latents instead of ornaments, nodes instead of branches, and compute instead of candlelight. Owerczuk framed the work as a celebration of open-source creativity, structured workflows, and functional graphs.

The film was produced using a custom ComfyUI setup integrating image and video nodes, conditioning trees, and iterative refinement. Owerczuk noted that the objective was rhythm, structure, and intention, treating AI as a musical instrument rather than a shortcut, under the mantra of cinema made with AI, not AI cinema.
