The project
A hybrid short with real actors, the first film of its kind in Europe, screened in Cannes.
Heavy Water is a hybrid short made with Navia Films. Real actors played on practical sets, and generative environments and post-production extended the world around them. It tests how far a low-budget shoot can be pushed toward cinematic scale without replacing the human craft that makes a scene believable. It was the first film of its kind in Europe and was presented at a special screening in Cannes.
